Home Staging Case Study #2
This beautiful single family home wasn't showing well due to clutter in some rooms and a lack of style and interest in others. By de-cluttering, rearranging, and adding a few key accessories, this home showed like a model home and generated a lot of interest.

Family Room Before
The first thing prospective buyers
noticed about this room was the baby pen blocking the entry way to the kitchen, so it was moved to another room. The room was also in need of accents and accessories: some lit candles, greenery, a change of picture on the wall, and the addition of colorful throw pillows transformed this room into an outstanding space.

Master Bedroom Before
Clutter was keeping the master
bedroom from showing at its full potential - removing the playpen (on the right) really opened up the space. The lamp was moved from the chest of drawers to the end table in order to balance the lighting in the room. A picture above the headboard and a few other accessories add interest and color to the room, making it a peaceful and
elegant retreat.

The kitchen was clean and tidy but too
sparsely decorated. The addition of a plant stand with greenery, colorful accessories on the island, and pictures on the wall really add make this kitchen an outstanding space.

uninteresting. The addition of a lamp, greenery, candles, and a picture on the wall really make this an exceptional small space.

In the nursery, some judicious de-cluttering and a coat of white paint on the crib and dresser transformed this space from bland to light and airy, while still reflecting the true purpose of the room.

Curb appeal should not
be overlooked when staging a home. The overgrown planting beds made the exterior of the home look dark and unkempt. Cleaning up the overgrown flowerbeds and planting fresh, colorful flowers brings a bright and cheerful aspect to the exterior of this home.
